Submission Wrestling/No Gi Grappling

Submission Wrestling No Gi Grappling Program

Similar to Jiu-Jitsu, our Submission Wrestling No Gi Grappling at Silanoe Martial Arts is a martial art that mainly focuses on leverage. The aim is to control and force the opponent to submit without throwing any strikes. By the usage of body movement, control and the application of pressure the opponent is forced to ‘tap out’.

A mix between Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, and Sambo

Our program contains techniques of multiple disciples such as Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo and Sambo.
A difference with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is that Submission Grappling is less restricted. It allows for more holds and techniques. Another main difference is that a practitioner does not wear a Jiu-Jitsu uniform. All one needs is shorts, rashguard or shirt. At Silanoe Martial Arts we do recommend wearing a longsleeve rashguard, shorts and compression spats.
