Professor Gino Silanoe has been practicing martial arts for about 25 years. He is originally from The Netherlands. His father enrolled him in martial arts at the age of 8. Growing up practicing martial arts helped Professor Gino to build his confidence. Martial arts helped deal with occasionally being bullied in school. Martial arts even helped Professor Gino excel in school. After traveling back and forth, Professor Gino was set on graduating Law School in the Netherlands. After earning his law degree in International Law, he finally decided to move to California and pursue his passion. In 2017 Professor Gino Silanoe established Silanoe Martial Arts in the city of San Gabriel, CA.
Professor Gino has been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for more than 10 years. He was awarded his Black Belt in February 2017. Endorsed by his long time professor Jochem Branderhorst, he received his black belt from the legendary master Draculino. He has also been training in Dutch Muay Thai/Kickboxing for several years in the Netherlands, a country consistently ranking one the best in striking rivaling Thailand for that honor.
Professor Gino holds a world championship title with the Sport Jiu-Jitsu International Federation (SJJIF). Additionally, he holds a Dutch Championship title with the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC). Professor Gino has a 2nd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. He became the 1999 ITF European Champion Taekwondo. He also has a 2nd degree Black Belt in Japanese Self Defense Jiu-Jitsu & is a licensed teacher under the Dutch Olympic Committee.
Not only has Professor Gino been involved in training & competing in all these areas, he also has been teaching since the age of 14. Professor Gino loves to share his knowledge. As a coach, he has been successful in producing students who are Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champions and takes great pride in that!
